A Police Chief with the Courage to Say What He Thought

by: Dennis J. Edwards / Founder

Police Chief Mark Kessler must have some following, because apparently the meeting in which he was fired drew “thousands of supporters.” No small trick in a town of 750. What did he say that bothered them so much? Have a look.  Warning video is NOT edited and contains some very strong language. The Chief leaves no doubt about his feelings.

“I expressed my First Amendment rights and my Second Amendment rights. No regrets.”

It seems though that this was a bit much for the Gilberton, PA., Gilberton Borough City Council and they fired him.

Apparently, its time for the voters in Gilberton Borough to elect a new City Council. One that understands the threat and has the “intestinal fortitude” to stand up for their city’s and their constituents Constitutional rights. Some may think the Chief was “over the top” but once you understand the issue he was so upset about, you might feel the same.

If President Obama “signs” the UN treaty Chief Kessler spoke of, (CLICK HERE for more on the treaty) it will be one more example of what would indisputably be a violation of his oath of office to preserve, defend and protect our Constitution in that ONLY the US Senate can approve treaties.

Article II, Section 2, Clause 2 of the United States Constitution, includes the Treaty Clause, which empowers the President of the United States to propose and chiefly negotiate agreements between the United States and other countries, which become treaties between the United States and other countries after the advice and CONSENT of a supermajority of the United States Senate.

The actual nature of the treaty Chief Kessler spoke of is relatively unimportant to this discussion other than to say that it is the continuing effort of the anti-gun, anti-second amendment supporters to see our 2nd Amendment rights taken away in this country. This time by a U.N. treaty that has been written and rewritten to try and ban weapons world wide, banned except of course for the governments themselves.

The list of impeachable offenses by this president continues to grow… what will it take before even the Democrats in the Senate say NO MORE?

We would like to try and get people to focus on the real issue the Chief was trying to point out.. yes, it may appear to some that it ended up being a 1st Amendment issue but it’s really much more than that.. this is ALL ABOUT a President who fumbled his oath of office and obviously has long forgotten it. President Obama may have been schooled in the Constitution but we are beginning to wonder what Constitution? It sure seems he has no idea any longer what ours says and since Congress will not hold him accountable he feels free to ignore it as he wishes.. which is the first step to a tyrannical government and the reason for the de facto police state we now live in.

People, our “house is on fire”, when will you wake up and be willing to “grab a bucket” and do what you can to help put it out.. before there’s a “total loss”.

If you do not believe that our country, our Republic, is worth fighting for; if you do not believe that our rights, liberties and freedoms are worth dying for.. well, if you have any children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, go hug them and tell them that you’re sorry; sorry that you don’t love them enough to get involved and try to pass on to them a nation stronger and richer than you were handed by your parents… and then ask if they can find it in their hearts to forgive you.

“I can comprehend no danger to our country from a foreign foe. Our destruction, should it come at all, will be from another quarter; from the inattention of the people to the concerns of their government. From their carelessness and negligence, I confess I do apprehend some danger. I fear they may place too much implicit confidence in their public servants , and fail properly to scrutinize their conduct; that in this way they will become the dupes of designing men, and become the instruments of their own undoing. Make them intelligent and they will be vigilant, give them the means of detecting the wrong, and they will apply the remedy.”    – Daniel Webster

Get involved, get involved with your local “grassroots” organizations. Work to educate your family, friends and neighbors to the impending storm on the horizon. We must make people aware of the dangerous direction that this country is being led.  We simply need to educate people as to the cost to our future generations if we don’t change the direction now.

“Let us remember, that ‘if we suffer tamely a lawless attack upon our liberty, we encourage it, and involve others in our doom.’ It is a very serious consideration, which should deeply impress our minds, that millions yet unborn may be the miserable sharers in the event.” -Samuel Adams

I do love quotes:

“I know no safer depository of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them, but to inform their discretion by education. This is the true corrective of abuses of constitutional power.”
Thomas Jefferson to William C. Jarvis, 1820.

One Response to A Police Chief with the Courage to Say What He Thought

  1. This officer expressed the sentiments of many many millions. I think we might just have a new secretary of State here.
